Clearwater Beach Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival

Clearwater Beach Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival last year was fun and different. Hey, have you ever been to the Chalk Art Festival? Well, you missed it last year but think about going this year. We will be going to this year’s Chalk Art Festival too. It starts October 19 and runs through October 20 starting at 9am each day.

We went last year to the Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival. It’s always a great day to visit Clearwater Beach anyway and this would be an added bonus. For info on future events, check out the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce site. The event is free but parking can cost depending on where you park. The Pier lot was $2/hour. For best parking choices, get there early.

Clearwater Beach is one of the best beaches in our area; in fact in Florida and Pier 60 is known far and wide.  It is clean and beautiful and has restaurants and boating adventures. The waterfront views are spectacular. We lived in Clearwater a few years back and loved taking our son to the beach there.

How do you get to Clearwater Beach? Take Route 60 West, follow that across the Causeway.

These were taken in 2017.

It was a hot day, we got there at 9 am to stay as cool as we could for as long as we could. Even so, by the time we wandered through and went to visit the Opal Sands Resort (opened last year and just gorgeous), it was getting very warm. The first hotel in the video is the Hyatt Regency Clearwater – also gorgeous.

The Clearwater Beach Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival included vendors of all types of merchandise, jewelry included, and great music.  The shops along the walk were open and the restaurants too. And it was interesting watching the artists apply their magic to the sidewalk. You can vote in the Peoples Choice Award.

This family friendly festival also includes a kid’s zone, arts and crafts vendors, live music, and all out in the beautiful weather at one of America’s Best Beaches!

Be sure to pop in to the Hyatt Regency and Opal Sands Resort to see how beautiful they are. Or if you from out-of-town, maybe you could stay at one of them.  Even if you’re not, take a peek at the Opal Sands website.

A great place to eat is Spinners Revolving Bistro on St. Pete Beach.  A 360º view.
