Bed Bug Registry -Where to find them.
Did you know there is a website called Bed Bug Registry (no longer working) and it is the
place to go for locating bed bug hangouts. When I first heard of it, I wondered what the bed bugs were registering for: wedding gifts, baby shower gifts (they probably need a lot of those) but no, I was wrong. This will take you to the bedbug registry (unfortunately, the website is no longer active) . And when you get there, there’s a map showing red dots; the red dots purport to tell you who has bed bugs. You can click on an area and get the names and locations of bed bug sightings at hotels & motels.

The problem as I see it is the bed bugs are not confirmed by anyone other than the people who register them on the site. So how good is this site; how accurate is the info? And, how many perfectly bed bug-free hotels are being registered by over-reacting visitors, or someone with an axe to grind against the hotel.
One thing you can do to lessen your risk of bringing home souvenirs is to wrap your suitcases in large plastic garbage bags at night when you are ready to go to bed.. Use zip ties to keep the bags closed. The little guys haven’t learned how to open those yet. It’s a little extra work but well worth it!
Want to enjoy a little of the Epcot Flower and Garden Show? Look here. Epcot’s Flower and Garden Show is always beautiful and has lots of informative demonstrations for gardening. My favorite, of course, is the Butterfly Garden and the Hummingbird Garden.
